Got to vent about the floods! Mad The trains to Exeter and Newton Abbot have been badly disrupted for past week, so my plans for getting to work have been tested to the limits! I worked for 3 days continuous this week, and had to drive there and back twice, took me an hour and half to get home last night including 30 mins stationery bcause of an accident on dual carriageway, so now I'm totally flaked out. So much for my good intentions to pace myself! Sad . I've been looking forward to doing nothing today, but now it looks as if I'll have to drive to Taunton (1hour away) to collect my hubby who's currently stranded in London (no trains!). It doesn't sound as if they'll be fixed any tme soon, because there have been various land slips and tracks washed away - pretty major chaos Scared . Hope for the best for Monday!!

Smile Ohhhh Sylvia
You are having a bit of an adventureRollEyes
I hope it will be better on the trains & weather next week.

Haven been on train for a while, old fashioned steam train in Dorset on the airmens cross to Swanage when we stayed at campsite last year. It was fantastic for us humans and the dogs!!

Sadly, the normal train stations round here involve a steep flight of stairs to a bridge over the track there and back. My husband said it wouldn't be easy for me.
My memories of steam trains makes up for it!!

Hi Jane - Love the doggie!! Love

Are there no lifts at your stations? How do people manage with buggies let alone wheelchairs and sticks? I didn't have to go all the way to Taunton, but I did drive to Exeter to collect hubby - phew, what a mistake!!! So many people did the same thing that Exeter station and surrounding area was gridlocked - once I'd got in I couldn't get out - took me 2 hours. Grrrrrr OhMyGod. Still it's nice to have him back RollEyes

Lets hope the disruption is over very soon. Getting back into work is a big achievement but you need as much rest and as little stress as possible in order to cope with it. XXXXX
